A fundraiser for the food bank and the 亚洲天堂 Lake Tragedy Fund was held last Sunday by 亚洲天堂 Lake Overwaitea.
About 600 hot dogs were sold, raising $1,153.77, a 鈥榮pin the wheel鈥� was held giving away return tickets for two via Hawkair to Vancouver raised $406.13. The tickets were won by local Karen Bouchard. Also a 50/50 draw, which was won by local Erica Austin, raised $476.30.
The Buns Lake Overwaitea also generously donated a semi-truck trailer load full of food, including chicken and turkeys to the food bank to help cope with increasing demand die to the Jan. 20, 2012 explosion and fire at Babine Forest Products.
