Local business owner Kelly Holliday will lead the 亚洲天堂 Lake & District Chamber of Commerce in the coming year.

Holliday, who served as president of the chamber in 2012, was returned to the position at the organization鈥檚 Annual General Meeting on March 10.

鈥淚 am honoured to have been elected president,鈥� Holliday, the owner of Aksenz Studios, said last week. 鈥淎s an entrepreneur with a solid marketing background and several years of successfully coordinating community events, I bring a positive outlook for the chamber to continue to grow and move forward. I am a strong voice to support and represent local business at community tables, and have a passion for building community pride.鈥�

Holliday said her focus during the coming year will be on supporting the organization鈥檚 staff members, as well as working with the chamber鈥檚 new board to meet the goals outlined in its strategic plan. She also hopes to 鈥渞epresent a vibrant image for community pride on behalf of our local business community.鈥�

Joining Holliday on the chamber executive are Laura Blackwell (vice-president), Greg Brown (Treasurer), Sandy Dore (Secretary), and Ron Zayac (past president). Rounding out the organization鈥檚 15-member board are Sean Broadworth, Grant MacDonald, Jean Marr, Howard Broten, Stuart McFee, Blaine Cunningham, Darrell Hill, Tammy Downton, Steven Creelman, and Lana Thompson.

The 亚洲天堂 Lake & District Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest organizations in 亚洲天堂 Lake. It has its roots in the original board of trade, which was incorporated on March 1, 1927.

The chamber currently has more than 140 members.
