Earlier this year the 亚洲天堂 Lake and District Chamber of Commerce conducted a membership survey and discovered that 鈥榚nticing local shoppers鈥� was a number one priority to their members.
The chamber鈥檚 first step to entice local shoppers was to implement a local gift certificate program.
Launched on Nov. 6, 2015, with 25 participating businesses, the program has grown to 31 participating businesses. To date, the chamber has sold close to $40,520 worth of gift certificates.
鈥淭his is $40,520 that will stay in this community,鈥� said Chamber Manager Susan Schienbein.
The local gift certificate program allows companies, organizations and individual consumers to purchase gift certificates from the chamber of commerce and redeem them at participating local retailers and service businesses.
