亚洲天堂 Lakers now have the option of voting online for the annual Business Excellence Awards by visiting burnslakechamber.com.

Held by the 亚洲天堂 Lake and District Chamber of Commerce, the awards help recognize the efforts and achievements of the local business community.

The nomination period closed Aug. 31 and finalists were chosen by a committee selected by the chamber. You can now vote for your favourite business until 4 p.m. on Sept. 30. Residents also have the option of filling out a voting form at the chamber鈥檚 office.

A total of 11 awards will be given out this year during the Business Excellence Awards ceremony, which will be held on Oct. 14 at the Tweedsmuir Rod and Gun Club.

This year鈥檚 categories include community impact, community ambassador, home based business, Paul Sandercott business of the year, tourism excellence, outstanding customer service, ingenuity and innovation, rookie of the year, customer service employee of the year, resource industry, and lifetime business achievement.

The 2016 winners of the lifetime business achievement award were Klaus and Angelika Posselt, owners of the Tahtsa Group.

鈥淭his gives the community a chance to recognize the contributions our businesses make to in our community,鈥� said chamber manager Randi Amendt. 鈥淭he customer service employee of the year award is also a great chance to recognize those employees who provide great customer service.鈥�
