Youth motivational speaker Jeff Yalden recently spoke with Lakes District Secondary School (LDSS) students about mental health and suicide prevention. The high energy, 鈥渢ell it like it is鈥� speaker was brought to LDSS by the Child and Youth Mental Health Substance use Colloborative, a group whose mission is to improve mental health in the Lakes District. According to the World Health Organization, suicide is the second leading cause of death globally among 15-29 year olds.
