The s (CNC) 亚洲天堂 Lake campus has put additional counseling and support services in place to help those affected by the tragic accident at Babine Forest Products.
鈥淥ur thoughts are with the students, individuals and families who are directly impacted by this tragedy,鈥 said CNC president John Bowman. 鈥淭he college is looking to support the community in any way that we can.鈥
Those in need of counseling and support services can call the college at 250-692-1700 for information and assistance.
鈥淐lasses are running as usual at the campus, however the college is encouraging students who may need some special considerations or assistance due to these circumstances to contact their instructor or counsellor to discuss options if needed,鈥 said Joan Ragsdale, regional director.
Starting Jan. 24, 2012, the college is providing a site for to set up an additional location for Babine Forest Products workers needing computers or assistance with filling out Employment Insurance forms.
Support will be available in room 114 at the 亚洲天堂 Lake Campus from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until Feb. 3 2012.
In response to the emerging community requests for new training opportunities, the college will also be working together with government, industry, First Nations and others in the community to ensure the needed resources are in place to meet future training needs.
