It was 15 years ago that Dawn Belcourt had the first experience that informs her new book, 鈥楾he Foundation to Creation: Ancient Spirits Reveal Sacred Knowledge of Creation, Time and Space, for the coming Golden Age鈥.
Belcourt, a practitioner of holistic health and healing, moved to 亚洲天堂 Lake from Winnipeg 20 years ago.
鈥淲hen I was in university [in Winnipeg] I was taking social work,鈥 she explained. 鈥淗alf way through I realized that I wanted to turn my direction towards the healing arts and enhancing my psychic abilities, and that鈥檚 when I left university and went into more detailed studies on my own.鈥
Belcourt had always been aware that she was in touch with an aspect of the spiritual world that some find improbable.
鈥淭hroughout my entire life, I鈥檝e had encounters with the spirit world; I just didn鈥檛 understand them,鈥 she said.
After leaving her social work studies Belcourt turned her attention toward understanding those phenomena of the 鈥榮pirit world鈥 more fully.
鈥淚 left my Catholic background and started searching for answers other than what I could find in the bible,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 started to look for answers and I found a lot of them in native traditional culture.鈥
鈥淎s part of a native studies course we got into Shamanism and how it was very common at one time for people to communicate with the spirit world.鈥
Moving to 亚洲天堂 Lake allowed her to find a culture and people that could nourish her spiritual exploration. In particular, she found in Chris Charlie a mentor and spiritual guide.
Charlie, she explained, could pass energy 鈥榝rom the Creator鈥 through other people.
鈥淗e would put his hand out and other people would put their hand under his and he would visualize energy moving from the creator through his body to the other person,鈥 Belcourt explained.
鈥淗e asked me if I would like to try this. I was open to it and said sure. What I didn鈥檛 expect was that it completely changed my world.鈥
After that experience with Charlie, she began to take courses in healing touch and Reiki and developed her own practice in 亚洲天堂 Lake.
The book has been 15 years in the making, Belcourt said. It is based on three events in her spiritual life that take a book length treatment to do justice to. The book is based on experience, visions, and communication with what she describes as the ancient spirits.
鈥淚 realize how controversial this subject is,鈥 she said.
鈥淲hen it comes to creation, some people cherish their beliefs and they feel like this is an attack,鈥 she said. 鈥淢y goal is not to change people鈥檚 minds, it鈥檚 only to provide another choice.鈥
Her experiences have led her to believe that there are significant changes in the works that coincide with the widely publicized end of the Mayan calendar.
鈥淭he end of the Mayan calendar is not based on a date,鈥 she explained. 鈥淥ur sun and our planet are going to be in perfect alignment with the centre of the Milky Way galaxy, and that will create an opening in time and space that will shift us to the next dimension.鈥
She doesn鈥檛 believe that this event should be looked at as a doom and gloom scenario.
鈥淲e should be thrilled with anticipation at the gigantic leap that humans are going to take with their spiritual evolution,鈥 she said. 鈥淭ime as we know it is ending,鈥 she said, 鈥渂ut not the world. I want to make that very clear.鈥
Belcourt expects a certain level of resistance to her experience, but she is okay with that.
鈥淜eep an open mind if you decide to read the book,鈥 she said. 鈥淟isten to what the ancient spirits have to say and decide if it鈥檚 for you or not.鈥
The book is out and can be ordered through createspace.com, and amazon.com in hard copy or as an ebook.
