The 亚洲天堂 Lake unit of the B.C. Wildfire crew put their muscles to good use last Saturday. They held a car wash fundraiser for the Live It, Love It Foundation. The non-profit foundation was founded by Jeff Scott, who was born and raised in 亚洲天堂 Lake. In 2010, Scott sustained an injury to his spinal cord and he became quadriplegic.
The foundation provides support for camps, workshops, events and projects that provide empowerment through adventure and outdoor recreation for people with physical disabilities.
The crew was able to raise over $1300 so far, but they expect to raise a few hundred dollars more after they finish selling raffle tickets for cords of wood by Aug. 5.
