The Island Gospel Fellowship Church provided shelter, as well as dinner and breakfast to a group of bike riders from Texas last week.
The 67 riders - all of them students at the University of Texas in Austin - are part of the Texas 4000 for Cancer group, which cycles from Texas to Alaska each year to raise money for cancer research.
Pastor Ed Peters said that while here the group met with a young man from Fraser Lake who has cancer; the next morning, the young man鈥檚 family stopped by the church to say good-bye to the Texas 4000 crew as they continued their journey.
