Moose

Local resident R.K. Brown capture this picture of a moose munching on willows in his back yard. During the winter the moose feeds on berries, twigs and branches. They will eat the bark of trees and paw through the snow to get at the grass and twigs under the snow. The moose that we see around now constitute the population for the entire area and need to be protected. The public is encouraged to report any fish, wildlife or environmental violations to conservation officers through the 24 hour ‘Report all Poachers and Polluters’ hot line at 1-877-952-7277.
