As part of a five-week environmental technician certificate program, students worked a fish net on the shores of Radley Beach recently.
Local resident Wren Gilgan caught part of the action here during week three of their program, where students learned about weak electro-fishing, minnow traps, and beach seining.
The students were working under the instruction of Darren Hebert, a registered professional biologist and teacher with the Vancouver Island University’s Natural Resources Extension Program.
