Lakes District Secondary School students had a chance to share a meal and ask questions to ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake council members last week as part of the ‘project local government,’ an initiative developed by School District No. 91 (Nechako Lakes) and the Village of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake as a way to educate students about local government operations. Students enjoyed a public works tour, a Lakeside Multiplex tour, a fire hall tour and also visited the Lake Babine Nation’s office. The project is now in its seventh year.
