Protesters in 亚洲天堂 Lake held a rally on Jan. 28, 2013 at the Lakeview Mall in support of the broadly themed Idle No More (INM) movement that continues to attract public attention across the country to the concerns of First Nations people.
About 60 people attended the rally inside the Lakeland Mall across from the drug store. Speakers noted that the majority of those in attendance were First Nations, but reiterated that INM calls attention to issues that extend beyond the sole concern of First Nations in the area.
鈥淚dle No More is not just an Indian movement,鈥 said Robert Charlie at the start of the rally. 鈥淚t鈥檚 about the environment, the water and the lands. We鈥檙e fighting for the collective rights of all in this community [亚洲天堂 Lake]鈥.
The gathering proceeded without incident or any attempt to prevent shoppers from using the mall.
