Local resident Mike Robertson captured this photo while on board a 5:25 p.m. Francois Lake ferry. The ferry was crowded with muddy pickups, crummies, dirty vans and a camper with the door duct taped shut. Each vehicle holding collections of shovels, tree bags, tired ATV's, garbage bags full of well worn laundry, backpacks, dusty finger drawings on the windows and the odd, neat suitcase here and there. The best part, the planters had survived from beginning to end and the friends that they had become over the last seven weeks. After parking on the ferry, for their ride south to Takysie Lake and the 'last tree' party, they emerged. The colors of their clothes, the sassiness of the satisfaction of a job well done and just their overall joy of being young, healthy and free was overwhelming.
