For the first time, Kelowna is the host city for Country Music Week and the 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA).
鈥淭he city鈥檚 unique charm, complemented by its urban energy, will showcase the best in Canadian country music,鈥 said Amy Jeninga, CCMA president.
Mayor Tom Dyas noted B.C. has only hosted Country Music Week twice since 1977.
鈥淲hat better city to welcome it back than Kelowna,鈥 Dyas added. 鈥淲e look forward to showcasing our thriving cultural scene, and world-class hospitality while welcoming some of Canada鈥檚 most talented country artists.鈥
Tourism Kelowna President Lisanne Ballantyne pointed out the event will bring a major economic impact to the Okanagan Valley.
