The Lakes District Arts Council’s (LDAC) eleventh season of performing arts is just around the corner and season tickets are still available at Process 4 circle arts Gallery, Lakes District Printing and Stationery and the Lakes Artisan Centre.

Gerry Barnum at the Legion Singer-songwriter and guitarist Gerry Barnum will perform at the Royal Canadian Legion in ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake on Friday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. A well seasoned artist, Barnum’s songs move the soul and touch the heart with a groove that is captivating.
Gerry is an accomplished musician on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Music of the heart and soul, raw and refined, tender to foot stompin’. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, and are available at Uptown Auto, LDFC Printing and Stationery, the ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake Legion, and at the door.

Art and quilt show at Francois Lake The group at St. Luke’s Church and The Francois Lake Hall are hosting an art show and quilt show at these two venues on Saturday, Oct. 1.
The show will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.: quilts at the Francois Lake Hall, and art at St. Luke’s Church. Admission is by donation, and all proceeds will go to St. Luke’s Church on the Lake. Lunch and desserts will be available at The Francois Lake Hall.
Local artist Ronny Berndorff will be doing painting demonstrations all day long.
Select art pieces will be for sale, and there will be door prize draws throughout the day, with prizes donated by Yarn and Sew On, Rocking L Quilts and St. Luke’s Church on the Lake.
