Danny Nielsen, one of Canada’s brightest rising tap dance talents, brought an electric cast of four male tap dancers, a trio of musicians and a vocalist to ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake last Sunday. The final performance in the Lakes District Arts Council’s eleventh season left local residents wanting more. Through dance, theatre and music, ‘Love.Be.Best.Free.’ tells the story of a man transformed when he falls in love with a woman. The Chambermaids and the Lakes District Community Choir were the opening performers. During the event, the arts council announced the shows booked for the twelfth arts season, which begins on Oct. 5, 2017 with the performance of Stephen Fearing.
