The ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and District Seniors Society is hosting a potluck and social games night for folks 50 plus at the Decker Lake Hall on April 13. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., supper at 6 p.m., games, social and recorded music to follow.
The Lakes District Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society is hosting a 'Daffodil Extravaganza' fundraising event at the Decker Lake Hall on April 14 from 5 p.m. to midnight. The evening will feature dinner, musical entertainment, dancing, a loonie auction, door prizes, head shaving, guest speakers and more. This is an event for the entire family and non-alcoholic drinks such as a 'Dazzling Daffodil' and 'Orange Blossom Special' will be served. Prizes will be awarded for the best daffodil costume or decorated hat.
Donations can be made at www.cancer.ca or stop in at the local cancer society office on Hwy. 16 across from the Lakeland Hotel. Tickets will be available at the door. This is a fundraising event to celebrate survivors and remember those we have lost to cancer. "Let's Make Cancer History".
The seventh and final performance in the Arts Council's 2011/2012 season takes place on April 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lakes District Secondary School (LDSS) multi purpose room. From Quebec, the Denis Chang Quartet. Watch for our posters around town, and our ads in the Lakes District ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃ.

The ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and District Seniors Society is hosting a spring garage sale at the Decker Lake Hall on April 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can drop off items for the garage sale on April 27 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Hot dogs will be on sale on Saturday, word is the BBQ will be on, and grilled onions are on the menu. Come for some great bargains.
