'Highway of Hope' inspires locals

The Lakes District Arts Council (LDAC) invited artist Rene Jaspers to showcase her artwork during the performance of Joelle Rabu and Nico Rhodes on Feb. 25. Jaspers displayed a number of paintings in her 鈥楬ighway of Hope鈥� series. The art show and its goal, which is to highlight the beauty of Hwy. 16 and promote safe transportation, made a strong connection for many in the audience, including Rabu, who lives on Haida Gwaii.
