Last year, the top Apple Music Awards went to three artists 鈥� Olivia Rodrigo, H.E.R and The Weeknd. This year, there鈥檚 only one 鈥� Bad Bunny.

thanks in large part to his latest album, 鈥淯n Verano Sin Ti,鈥� which became Apple Music鈥檚 most streamed album of 2022 and its biggest Latin album of all time.

鈥淲e鈥檙e thrilled to celebrate the unmatched achievements of Bad Bunny, whose influence on every corner of culture could not be ignored in 2022,鈥� Oliver Schusser, Apple鈥檚 vice president of Apple Music and Beats, said in a statement.

Bad Bunny has amassed quite a few first on Apple Music, including having his 鈥淢oscow Mule鈥� hold the record for the biggest Latin song of all time by first-day streams worldwide. He logged 22 songs on the global Daily Top 100 list, breaking the record for most simultaneous entries by a single Latin artist, and his songs have reached No. 1 on the Daily Top 100 in 34 countries worldwide 鈥� more than any other Latin artist.

鈥淭he Latin music movement has grown so much. I would never take full credit or say, 鈥業t鈥檚 because of me.鈥� No, it鈥檚 every one of us. A whole generation. Our energy and presence is always felt,鈥� Bad Bunny told Apple Music.

The music service said annual winners are chosen through a process that reflects both Apple Music鈥檚 editorial perspective and what customers around the world are listening to the most.

The Apple Music Awards, now in its fourth year, continues to evolve, growing larger to encompass global music patterns.

The latest accolade caps quite a year for Bad Bunny. He won a Grammy for Best M煤sica Urbana Album in 2022 and beat Drake, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X and Lizzo for Artist of the Year honors at the MTV Awards. He leads the Nov. 17 Latin Grammy nominations list with 10 nods 鈥� including album of the year and record of the year for the single 鈥淥jitos Lindos,鈥� featuring Bomba Est茅reo. He scored Spotify major wins in such 2020 top categories as Artist of the Year and most-streamed male artist.

Bad Bunny had the year鈥檚 top-seller and the first all-Spanish language to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. This year, he also became the only artist in history to put on two separate $100-million tours in less than 12 months with his 鈥淓l 脷ltimo Tour Del Mundo鈥� and 鈥淲orld鈥檚 Hottest Tour.鈥�

Last year at the Apple Music Awards, Rodrigo was named Breakthrough Artist of the Year, her 鈥淪our鈥� was named Best Album of the Year and her 鈥渄rivers license鈥� was Song of the Year. H.E.R. was Songwriter of the Year and The Weeknd was named Global Artist of the Year.
