Straight Up! Paula Abdul announces Penticton date

Paula Abdul is set to grace the Penticton stage.

The global superstar has announced she will be at the South Okanagan Events Centre on Sept. 28, as part of her upcoming Canada-wide tour.

Abdul will be joined by special guests and fellow 1980s stars Taylor Dayne and Tiffany.

A dancer, singer and choreographer — as well as former Lakers girl and American Idol judge — Abdul has sold 60 million records worldwide.

Her debut album, Forever Your Girl, sold more than seven million copies in the U.S. alone, with chart-topping singles like Cold Hearted, Opposites Attract and Straight Up.

The singer’s Canadian tour includes B.C. dates in Abbotsford, Victoria, Kamloops, Dawson Creek and Prince George.

Tickets for Abdul’s show in Penticton can be purchased starting June at 10 a.m., at , or in person at the SOEC box office.
