Veteran Vancouver musician and actor Jim Byrnes brought the best of the blues to ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake last week.
The almost full house at Lakes District Secondary School’ multipurpose room enjoyed an intimate performance with Byrnes and his group. It was the perfect start to Lakes District Arts Council’s eleventh performing arts season. Having spent his youth in St. Louis, Missouri - which is considered the United States’ blues country -,
Byrnes felt in love with blues from a young age and has been on the blues highway for 45 years. His fame as an actor has grown immeasurably from numerous TV and movie roles, including television’s Wiseguy and Highlander series, and his national variety show, The Jim Byrnes Show.
