Rachelle van Zanten and Mark Perry in concert
Mark Perry and Rachelle van Zanten with Mark Thibeault and Madeline Lough will perform on Thursday, June 1, at the Jean Paulson Lodge at the Omineca Ski Club. The concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 each and are available at Gwyn鈥檚 Green Grocer.
Retrospective art show and sale
The retrospective art show and sale will be featuring acrylic and watercolour paintings by Len Matte on Saturday, June 3, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Everyone is welcome to the art display located at Matte鈥檚 home: 3935 Moe Road, one kilometre past Honeysuckle Garden Centre and turn right.
The show is a collaborative effort between Matte and Wayne Brown of Process 4 circle arts Gallery. Ten per cent of all proceeds will be given to the Lakes District Food Bank. For more information, call 250-698-7701 or visit www.mattegallery.ca.
Summer urban dance workshops
Keshia Davis will be teaching drop-in urban dance workshops at the Lakeside Multiplex this summer.
The first workshop will take place on Tuesday, June 6, with sessions for kids eight to 12 years old, and adults 18 plus. A workshop will also be offered for youth 13 to 17 years old, based on inquiries of ten participants or more.
