Jim Byrnes was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri 鈥 that鈥檚 blues country. He spent his youth there, falling in love with the city鈥檚 blues scene. Over the years, he has had the great good fortune to appear with a virtual who鈥檚 who of the blues. From Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker to Taj Mahal and Robert Cray, Byrnes has been on the blues highway for 45 years, a highway that has sometimes taken a few unexpected turns. Byrnes鈥 alternative career choice was acting. His fame as an actor has grown immeasurably from numerous TV and movie roles, including television鈥檚 Wiseguy and Highlander series, and his national variety show, The Jim Byrnes Show.

Byrnes first love, however, is the blues. With his evocative, smoky vocals, his music will draw you into a truth that doesn鈥檛 come overnight.
