Mounties were reportedly shot after after a drive-by shooting at a Dawson Creek home.
Mounties were called to the 1100-block of 119 Avenue on Friday (Jan. 17) around 1 a.m. for a report of multiple shots fired at a house. No one was injured in the shooting, police said.
Police said a suspect vehicle was reportedly seen speeding away from the house and officers "quickly" found the vehicle and attempted a stop. The suspects, RCMP said, shot at the officers.
Dawson Creek RCMP said the officers later "re-located" the suspect vehicle unoccupied. RCMP called in a police service dog.
Two suspects were found and arrested. They remain in custody.
A third suspect is alleged to have fled the scene in a dark-coloured mid-2000s GMC or Chevy pickup truck, which police said has "significant front-end damages from driving into a police car while evading arrest."
The suspect is described as five-foot-eight, with a thin build. He has brown hair and eyes, with a tattoo down the right side of his neck and along his hair line. He also has a "tunnel" piercing in his ears.
RCMP is warning the public not to approach the suspect if they see him, but to instead call 911.
