I have just finished reading 鈥淭he Regional 亚洲天堂鈥� mail out that showed the results of the referendum on the Lakes District Arts and Culture Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1831, 2018.
I was appalled at the lack of turnout for this referendum. Are there really only 226 eligible voters in Electoral Area E?
Did you know that everyone who does not turn out to cast a vote has actually cast a vote? That vote says quite clearly that you don鈥檛 care one way or another what the governing body decides to do.
So voters, think about that for the federal election which is due in 2019 or any other election or referendum that is held.
Do you really not care? Wake up electors and exercise your right to the democratic process or we may just lose that right.
