Ok….I’m guilty of tearing down the immaculately engineered beaver dam under the Rod Reid trail bridge, but I discovered that there may be quite a few people who would disagree with my actions, and feel that the beavers should keep their dam.
Last summer, so much effort was made to reinforce the trail to prevent flooding and help maintain that magical escape route, so I thought that the raising of the pond would undo that effort.
But the pond does dry up somewhat in late summer and maybe the dam would be an asset….haha…maybe the beavers know how much we need the trail and would not raise the lake too much to compromise it.
“It’s said, that the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and that, being the place I’m inclined to avoid, I will leave the destiny of the trail to those who represent the people of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and who have the authority to execute the decisions made.
Cheers,
