I meet Manny at in to drool over beautiful bikes and chat with him about life and style, starting with his love for the Okanagan, which, I quickly learn, runs deep.
鈥淚t鈥檚 the perfect sweet spot 鈥� a summer and winter destination. It鈥檚 a year-round playground. Kelowna is the 鈥楪oldilocks story鈥� town, it鈥檚 not too big, it鈥檚 not too small. It鈥檚 just right.鈥�
Manny grew up in , the son of fruit farmers. He credits his parents with instilling in him a strong work ethic and respectful manner.
鈥淢y mom鈥檚 a real go-getter and my dad is your typical farmer; he just enjoys farming. Even when he doesn鈥檛 have a lot to do, he鈥檒l find something. We were brought up to be very respectful. It鈥檚 so deeply instilled in me that it鈥檚 just part of who I am 鈥� I don鈥檛 have to try to be polite, I just generally am that way.鈥�
Asked what he loves about working in real estate, he says: 鈥淚 genuinely enjoy the feeling I get when I know I鈥檝e done a good job 鈥� when I know my clients are extremely happy.鈥�
Discussing style and fashion, Manny says he really enjoys fashion and, although he loves his casual wear, when it comes to work, he鈥檚 always suited up (脿 la Harvey Specter of the television show Suits).
鈥淚 think good style is about having a sense of what you鈥檙e all about and then wearing that with confidence.鈥�
The 30-year-old admits that his life outside of work is pretty much consumed with raising his new son, now a one-year-old. But when can, he still manages to get out on his bike.
鈥淲ith a busy work and life schedule, I鈥檝e found that it is the best way to clear my head. Most of the time I don鈥檛 even know where I鈥檓 going; it鈥檚 my mediation, it helps quiet and focus my mind.鈥�
