A group of First Nations from different parts of North America is on a seven-month journey that started in Alaska and will end in Panama in November 2016.
Meanwhile, a group of First Nations from different parts of Central and South America is walking from Southern Argentina toward Panama to meet the North American group.
The journey provides a cultural exchange between First Nations from North, Central and South America.
The 鈥榩eace and dignity journey group鈥 made a stop in 亚洲天堂 Lake on May 26 and proceeded eastbound on May 27. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a message of hope and bringing people together,鈥 said Daniel Negia, one of the participants. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a lot of things going on in our communities - mental health issues, abuse - and going back to our roots can help fix those traumas.鈥 The peace and dignity journey group started in 1992 and has been making this journey every four years.
