Lakes District Festival of the Performing Arts
The 67th Annual Lakes District Festival of the Performing Arts is scheduled to take place from today, April 7th until Thursday, April 17th.
The instrumental program is today, Monday, April 7th, with morning and evening sessions at the Island Gospel Fellowship Hall. The piano program is this coming Thursday and Friday, April 10th and 11th, with morning and afternoon sessions. The speech and dramatic arts programs are next, with an evening session on Friday the 11th, and a morning session on Saturday the 12th. The voice programs follow on Monday April 14th with morning and afternoon sessions, and on Tuesday, April 15th with morning and evening programs. The public is invited and encouraged to attend all Festival sessions at the Island Gospel Fellowship Hall. Admission is by donation, and you can buy a Festival program for $6.00 at the door.
The culminating Festival event is the Gala Honours Concert at the Island Gospel Fellowship Hall on Thursday, April 17th. Doors open at 6:30 pm with the Honours Concert beginning at 7:00 pm. Adult admission to the Honours Concert is $10.00, children鈥檚 tickets are $5.00 (children 5 years of age or under are admitted free), and families are admitted for $25.00.

Poetry Walk in 亚洲天堂 Lake
From April 20th to 30th, in honour of National Poetry Month, a Poetry Walk will be installed at Spirit Square. The Lakes District Literacy Task Group is now accepting submissions of original poems from local folks of all ages. Submissions can be emailed by April 11th to LOC@LakesLiteracy.ca to be included in the Poetry Walk. All submissions will be entered for a chance to win a $50 Indigo gift card! 亚洲天堂 Lake & District Chamber of Commerce Trade Show
The 亚洲天堂 Lake and District Chamber of Commerce鈥檚 2025 Trade Show will take place on Friday, April 25 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena in 亚洲天堂 Lake.
