There will be an group exhibition at the Heritage Gallery next to the Visitor Information Centre and the Lakes District Museum from July 3rd to July 29th. The exhibition will feature the work of Annamarie Douglas, Hilda Earl and Michael Riis-Christianson. There will be a special 鈥楳eet The Artists鈥 event on Thursday, July 4th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. 亚洲天堂 Lake Library Summer Reading Club 2024
The 亚洲天堂 Lake Summer Reading Club kicks off on Wednesday, July 3rd for seven weeks at the Library, with planned activities for kids 5-14. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淲orld of Curiosities鈥. Summer Art Camp for kids July 9th to 11th
The Lakes District Arts Council is again sponsoring Summer Art Camps for children aged 5 to 12 years old. The 2024 Art Camps will take place from July 9th to 11th at the 亚洲天堂 Lake Heritage Church on First Avenue. The sessions for kids 5-8 years old will take place in the morning, and the sessions for kids 9-12 will take place in the afternoon. Look for LDAC ads in the Lakes District 亚洲天堂 and in The Local Connector NW. Register soon, because there is a maximum of 20 participants in each age group, each day! Western Days at the Eagle Creek Fairgrounds July 20th and 21st
Western Days happens at the Eagle Creek Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and 21st. Events include Team Roping, Mounted Shooting, Cowhide Race, Gymkhana, The FMX Crew, and events especially for kids. And there will be a Sunday afternoon Chili Cookoff and Bannock Cookoff, exhibitors, vendors and food services both days. Look for Western Days ads in the Lakes District 亚洲天堂. Ya All Come, Ya Hear?
Summer Singing Camp August 19th to 23rd at The Beacon Theatre Local musician and vocalist Thea Neumann Pelletier will run a Summer Singing Camp for kids 10 to 16 at The Beacon Theatre at 10:00 am to noon, from Monday, August 19th to Friday, August 23rd. Fall Fair 2024 at the Eagle Creek Fairgrounds September 6th, 7th and 8th
The 78th Annual Lakes District Fall Fair happens on Friday, September 6th to Sunday, September 8th at the Eagle Creek Fairgrounds. This year鈥檚 Fair includes the popular Children鈥檚 Festival featuring The Kerplunks from Vancouver Island, and a Music Festival featuring local musicians, and also agricultural and fine arts displays in the Exhibit Hall, livestock exhibitors, Brandi鈥檚 Pet Show, sheep dog trials, exhibitors, vendors and food services. This year鈥檚 special attractions include Super Dogs from Vancouver, and Andersen Sisters and Friends Horse Trick Riders from Wainwright, Alberta.
