Home owners beware
Don’t hire people that do not you show you papers that says they are qualified to do the job you are wanting done.
I hired a gentleman to build a deck for me. My deck was 32’ long. He then built my neighbors deck which was 42’ long. He charged us both the same dollar amount. I inquired why, as mine would have taken much less wood. He walked away with my money and would give me no answer.
I hired a contractor and foolishly paid him $500 up front, to put a sink in and a front door. He put the sink in (having to tear some wood off the wall, but was going to fix it) he then proceeded to put the front door in, left and said he would be back to finish later. The door was crooked and you could see outside from along the wall. Then found out the frame of the door was being held with the foam only.
This is a sad world when you hire a contractor and they leave the elderly without properly fixing things for them but taking their money.
I hired two guys to put a deck door on. It is so crooked that it does not even close properly. They never came back to finish the job but once again… took the money.
This is a warning to all homeowners - BEWARE.
