On Tuesday, May 21, ΡΗΦήΜμΜΓ Lake Council directed staff to have Class A construction drawings completed for the Village Heights Master Plan project.
Chief Administrative Officer for ΡΗΦήΜμΜΓ Lake, Sheryl Worthing said this is the next step in the process of moving toward housing construction.
Worthing said the Village Heights Master Plan could take 30 years to complete, so it has been broken into stages. Developers cannot start the first phase until they have services on the property line. Council agreed to have engineers complete the construction drawings now, so the project is βshovel readyβ when future grant opportunities arise.
The Village of ΡΗΦήΜμΜΓ Lake has contracted TRUE Consulting with support from Plan North Consulting to develop a community plan for the Village Heights area. For land use and infrastructure planning, the project includes a stakeholder and public engagement process.
The Village Heights Master Plan is intended to provide various housing options that balance residential with commercial and environmental needs for the Village of ΡΗΦήΜμΜΓ Lake.
