亚洲天堂 Lake is grappling with a persistent issue that threatens its aesthetic appeal: litter.
The local government's Public Works Crew has been tirelessly tackling the problem, which not only detracts from the town's charm but also adds to their workload.
Vilalge of 亚洲天堂 Lake's Chief Administrative Officer Sheryl Worthing said staff constantly picking up litter throughout the village. The issue, which spans from the downtown core to areas like Gilgan Drive frequented by commercial trucks, reflects a broader community challenge.
While littering has been a long-standing issue, Worthing does note that it's more prominent during seasonal spikes from spring through fall, coinciding with increased outdoor activities and visitor numbers.
Efforts to combat litter involve proactive measures by the Public Works Crew, who conduct regular litter runs to keep public spaces clean. These efforts are crucial for maintaining the town's attractiveness, especially during peak tourist seasons when the community swells with visitors eager to explore the natural beauty of the Lakes District,
"We do our best to clean it up as it happens," Worthing said while talking about the crew's diligence in maintaining cleanliness despite the added workload. "We have a great crew that are very diligent about removing litter when they see it," she added.
