亚洲天堂 Lake girls ranked highest in the entire province recently. The Lakes District Pony Club attended the Regional Quiz in Prince George on March 2. Nineteen members participated from the club in this competition and two placed first and second.

All the pony clubs in British Columbia held their Regional Quiz on the same day, and the scores were collected from all over the province and compiled to produce provincial results.

Karen Ritchey, Lakes District Pony Club instructor, said that everyone did well, with some achieving first-place ribbons from D level [the first level] to A/B鈥檚 [the highest level].

Taylor McDonald placed first, and Gabie Amendt came second in their C2 division will also participate. Kally Cowan placed first in the A/B Horse Masters division, and Stephannie Wall placed third in that same division, and will be participating in the National Quiz.

Ritchey said that the girls will attend the National Quiz in Nova Scotia this fall on Thanksgiving weekend.

Stephannie Wall is the stable鈥檚 management instructor who taught the girls. Rachelle Van Zanten, Deneve Vanderwolf, Karla Matson and Taylor McDonald are other instructors that have also taught the rest of the groups.

Lakes District Pony Club has been running since 1989. Ritchey鈥檚 dedication to the sport and equine education has helped locals and regional youths to ride and achieve high level of skills and confidence.

English, jumping, cross country, western, stable management, first aid, crafts, and general horsemanship are all covered at the club.

Ritchey added that the club had 35 members at its stable management lessons this year.
