The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has rescinded the evacuation alert issued for Sabina Wildfire as of September 3.
RDBN issued the evacuation alert on Aug. 10, for areas affected by the Sabina Lake Wildfire south of the Cheslatta River, between Skins Lake and Cheslatta Lake, north of Ootsa Lake, and west of the Marilla Main FSR.
The Sabina Lake wildfire, renamed recently by BC Wildfire Service at the request of Cheslatta Carrier Nation, was first discovered on July 19 west of Ghitezli Lake. According to BC Wildfire Service update on Sept. 3, the 'out of control 'blaze has scorched over 41,170.6 Hectares
