A fire on the 1000 block of Centre Street on the Lake Babine Nation reserve earlier this afternoon (Aug. 23) resulted in one person being injured.
Twelve members of the 亚洲天堂 Lake Fire and Rescue Department responded to the fire, which was reported at 12:39 p.m., according to Fire Chief Rob Krause.
Firefighters arrived to find two outbuildings, a hydro pole, and a vehicle engulfed in flames. The fire also caused some damage to the exterior of a adjacent home, with primarily melted siding reported. However, the crews were able to save the home, said Krause.
One resident sustained burns from the fire and was transported to the hospital by BC Ambulance Service.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Krause added.
