The 亚洲天堂 Lake Fire Department responded to a distress call from their dispatch regarding a fire incident on Nash Road, west of 亚洲天堂 Lake on April 17 around 4:42 p.m. The fire had engulfed three sheds and approximately half a hectare of grass. Rob Krause, 亚洲天堂 Lake Fire chief, stated that the cause of the fire was likely human-caused as there were no indications of hydro lines being down or lightning strikes. Two fire cause investigators from BC Wildfire Service were on the scene to investigate the incident and confirmed that it was human-caused. In the Nadina Fire Zone, all open burns larger than a campfire will soon be banned in northeastern B.C., as the province gears up for an early and challenging wildfire season. Category 2 and 3 fires are set to be prohibited in the Prince George Fire Centre from March 28 until Oct. 15. This includes any blaze that burns beyond a half-metre high by a half-metre wide. It also covers fireworks, burning grass, sky lanterns, burn barrels of any size and binary exploding targets. (Saddman Zaman photos/Lakes District 亚洲天堂)
