The Village of 亚洲天堂 Lake has appointment a new Economic Development Officer, Frank Peebles.

With deep roots in the region, Peebles brings a wealth of experience and a passion for community development to his new role.

Born and raised on a cattle ranch near Francois Lake, Peebles graduated locally and pursued a career spanning three decades in media, marketing, and communications consulting. His professional journey took him across British Columbia, including stints in Victoria, the Lower Mainland, and predominantly in Prince George.

Upon his appointment, Peebles expressed his enthusiasm for returning to 亚洲天堂 Lake.

"This is a chance for me to give back to the community that has always been my home and happy place, and a chance to apply my skills and experiences in ways that can help the entire Lakes District region," he said.

He acknowledged the town's growing economic momentum and outlined his commitment to sustaining and enhancing this positive trajectory.

Peebles emphasized the breadth of his new role, highlighting its impact on diverse facets of community life.

"Economic Development is a portfolio that touches so many aspects of our lives, from very established industries to the latest innovations a town like ours might want to run with," he said.

Despite the challenges and complexities, Peebles expressed confidence in the leadership team and community support.

Reflecting on reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new residents, Peebles shared his excitement about embracing the Lakes District spirit once again.

"I鈥檓 thrilled to run into old friends at the grocery store, meet new residents who have chosen our community since I lived here last, and just reconnect with that Lakes District spirit."
