The Lakes District Museum Society hosted its GR8-by-8 Art Project on November 20 at the Heritage Gallery. The event aimed to inspire creativity within the community while raising funds for local cultural programs.
Guests had the chance to bid on a wide range of artwork featured in a catalogue with dozens of pieces. The event concluded with an awards ceremony and art auction, which raised $2,021 to support arts and culture initiatives in the Lakes District.

In the adult category, Reese Hogan was both the top winner and fan favourite for Thus Saith the Lord. Lynda Peebles placed second with Solitude, while Dale Kallhood secured third with Food for Thought. Cheryl Dell received an honorary mention for Turkeys.
In the teen category, the Platts were recognized as the two winners of the evening.
