Man struck intentionally with vehicle in Southbank, RCMP allege

亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP suspect a man was intentionally struck with a vehicle in Southbank and his home was set on fire.

A man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Southbank on March 20, and he may have been hit intentionally, according to 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP.

The man's house was later discovered to be on fire, and police suspect arson, according to an RCMP press release.

A suspect, Gerald Noth, 32, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, arson, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and breach of undertaking.

A person with the same name and age as the suspect was charged with various firearms-related offences on March 9 after 亚洲天堂 Lake RCMP responded to a call of shots fired where they found a man firing a weapon at what appeared to be no one in particular. He was released on a promise to appear in court, and RCMP said in a statement at the time they believed there was no ongoing risk to the public.

The March 20 incident was targeted and RCMP believe there is no ongoing risk to the public in this case as well, according to the press release. The suspect remains in custody and is set to appear in court by video on March 25.
