Located at the mouth of the Nass River, Gingolx is the most western of four villages in the Nass Valley served by Hwy113.

The provincial DriveBC site indicates an assessment is in progress with an update expected at 10 a.m. today (Sept. 24).
While rain has subsided in most areas of the North Coast and reaching inland, forecasters anticipate more will fall in the days ahead.
Water remains pooled on Hwy 16 between Prince Rupert and Terrace and on Hwy 37 between Terrace and Kitimat.
For a period yesterday afternoon there was single lane alternating traffic along a section of Hwy 16 between Terrace and Prince Rupert because of localized flooding.
