First Open Mic Coffee House of the season

The Open Mic Coffee House is back for a third season, starting on Oct. 5 at the Lakeside Multiplex. Watch for the Coffee House on the first Friday of every month until spring. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the music goes from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Enjoy the performances of local entertainers, as well as refreshments at intermission by donation. Admission is $5 for non-performers (children 12 and under are admitted for $3), and performers are admitted free. Proceeds this year will support the ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake and area Scouts. For more information or to register to perform, call Jim Loeb at 250-692-9874.

Lester Quitzau and Rachelle van Zanten ‘In Concert’

The sensational slide guitar player Lester Quitzau with Michael ‘Barefoot’ Treadway on drums, and the very soulful and gnarly Rachelle van Zanten, will perform on Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Omineca Ski Club Lodge on Hwy. 35 south of ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 each, and are on sale now at Green Zone Grocer.

LDAC season tickets still on on sale … they are your best buy!

You can still purchase season tickets for LDAC’s thirteenth season at Process 4 circle arts Gallery, LDFC Printing and Stationery and the Lakes Artisan Centre. The LDAC’s thirteenth season will feature seven live performances from the end of September to mid-March next year. The Arts Council has very attractive season ticket prices, including special prices for seniors and for families. We also have a special offer for Southside residents. If you live on the Southside, purchase a membership in the Arts Council for $1.00, and your season tickets this year are ‘on the house’. For more information, pick up a copy of our brochure at LDAC’s ticket outlets, or at a number of other fine locations around ÑÇÖÞÌìÌà Lake. Look for our ads in the Lakes District ÑÇÖÞÌìÌÃ.
