Police are looking for assault suspect in northwestern B.C.

RCMP are in Thornhill just east of Terrace in northwestern B.C. looking for a man wanted in connection with a possible aggravated assault.

RCMP report that one woman has been seriously injured.

Multiple officers, including members of the RCMP's northern emergency response team, are involved in the search.

Officers first received a report about a possible aggravated assault at approximately 7:45 a.m. today.

"The male suspect has not yet been located and the North District Emergency Response Team has been deployed to help locate him," a brief RCXP release at just before 5 p.m. Aug. 31 indicated.
