Property owners in 亚洲天堂 Lake will see a spike in their property value as BC Assessment mails out 2025 notices of assessment.
Property assessments for single-family homes in the 亚洲天堂 Lake area have increased by an average of 19 per cent, according to BC Assessment.
In Houston, property assessments have remained roughly the same this year compared to 2024.
The typical assessed value of single-family homes in the 亚洲天堂 Lake area this year is $265,000, up from $222,000 in 2024. The average single-family home value is $262,000 in Houston, up $1,000 from last year.
鈥淢ost North Central homeowners can generally expect to see assessment changes in the range of approximately -5 per cent to +10 per cent when they check their updated 2025 values with some exceptions depending on the community," said deputy assessor Teria Penner in a media release. 鈥淎rrival in the mail of 2025 assessment notices might be delayed due to ongoing Canada Post backlogs, but 2025 values are readily available at , using our online property search service."
Overall, North Central's total assessments increased from about $95.2 billion in 2024 to over $99.8 billion this year. About $1.3 billion of the region's updated assessments is from new construction, subdivisions and the rezoning of properties.
The North Central region encompasses about 70 per cent of the province, stretching east to the Alberta border, north to the Yukon border, west to Bella Coola and Haida Gwaii and to the south, just north of Clinton.
As B.C.'s provider of property assessment information, BC Assessment collects, monitors and analyzes property data throughout the year. The newly released property assessments can be searched and accessed anytime at by using the Find Your Property online service.
Penner reminded that anyone who feels their property assessment does not reflect market value as of July 1, 2024, or sees incorrect information on their notice, can contact BC Assessment as indicated on their notice as soon as possible in January.
鈥淚f a property owner is still concerned about their assessment after speaking to one of our appraisers, they may submit a Notice of Complaint (Appeal) by January 31st, for an independent review by a Property Assessment Review Panel," Penner added.
