Sentencing has again been postponed again for a 亚洲天堂 Lake man who pled guilty to one count of sexual assault in November of 2021.
Pre-sentencing reports were not completed in time for the hearing on May 6. It has been rescheduled for June 3, 2024.
The accused was set to appear in court on Jan. 22, 2024 to fix a date for sentencing, but that hearing was adjourned to Feb. 20, 2024.
On Feb. 20 an extension was granted because of a request for a psychological/psychiatric evaluation from the B.C. Prosecution Service based on the recommendation of a medical professional.
The accused cannot be named due to a publication ban ordered to protect the identity of the victim.
