Ski money for Grassy Plains School

Spirit North purchased new ski equipment for the Grassy Plains School. The equipment purchased included 51 sets of skis, 47 pairs of ski boots and 22 sets of poles. The total project value was $10,760. Donations came from NKDF $5000, Mike Robertson, Director NKDF, (R), Chinook Community Forest $3600, Greg Hill (L), Director CCF, Cheslatta Carrier Nation $2000 and Grassy Plains PAC $160. There are 60 Grassy Plains students in the program with 10 staff to help out. The Spirit North program is run by Rachelle van Zanten and Chris Paulson. The trail system at Grassy Plains is fantastic and is used for year-round activities.
