It was great, but the balls did not shoot as far as planned. Next year the plan is to have a better mechanism to shoot the balls further. Organizers apologized that the balls did not shoot further into the crowd. But all in all the event was well received and a large amount of people showed up in hopes of winning the $1000 ball. Marlene Currie was the lucky winner to catch the $1000 winning ball at the Great Ping Pong Ball drop on Dec. 14 at Woods N Water. Ten local businesses took part donating each $100 to the grand prize and then each business offered prizes on the 150 balls that were dropped. Woods N Water gave away close a $1000 worth of merchandise which included five turkeys. It was a great event and residents enjoyed it. Next year organizers said they will make sure the balls get shot into the crowd better. (L-R) Owner of Woods N Water Paul Hillard, Marlene Currie and Jason Jubinvillle owner of P&B Feeds.
