Wildfire season in 亚洲天堂 Lake commenced with the discovery of three Out of Control fires on July 19.
According to the BC Wildfire Service, these fires were identified during routine air patrols aimed at monitoring the region for fire activity.
Kaitlyn Bailey, spokesperson for the Northwest Fire Centre, indicated that the fires were a result of significant lightning activity the previous night and early morning.
鈥淭oday (July 19) we have been conducting air patrols to look for new fires as well as following up on reports of smoke,鈥 Bailey said.
Two of the fires, both measuring less than 0.009 hectares, were located north of Francois Lake (one east of Mt. Colley and the other east of Graham Creek) on July 19. Responding swiftly, an Initial Attack Crew along with an Officer and support from two helicopters began efforts to contain these fires by bucketing water onto them," Bailey said.
Additionally, another fire was reported approximately 25 kilometers east of the 亚洲天堂 Lake Fire Department boundary. This fire, estimated to cover 0.009 hectares, prompted an Initial Attack response to manage and contain the blaze.
Efforts to control and suppress these fires are ongoing as officials continue to monitor the situation closely amid heightened wildfire risks in the region.
