A significant traffic disruption took place between Topley and Houston on Wednesday (Dec. 4) morning. The Houston RCMP said it responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 16 approximately 10km west of Topley. The driver, and lone occupant was uninjured.
While responding to this incident, police were notified of a semi that had jackknifed and was now blocking a lane of the highway. The two incidents are not related.
Police closed down the Eastbound lane until traffic control could be setup. The road surface was extremely slippery at the time, the police said.
